Realistic character prosthetics, silicone body appliances, and on-set SFX support created for the dark, atmospheric world of Wzgórze Psów.
Overview
The project required effects that felt grounded, human, and slightly uncomfortable rather than exaggerated. The work included facial and body prosthetics, textured silicone appliances, skin irregularities, hair work, and physical character details prepared for close camera work. Each element was designed to blend with the actor’s body and support the tone of a dark Polish Netflix series based on Jakub Żulczyk’s novel.

Our approach focused on creating prosthetic elements that could exist naturally within the world of the story. We worked with silicone appliances, sculpted surface textures, custom hair integration, and carefully matched skin tones to achieve realism under cinematic lighting. The goal was not to draw attention to the effect itself, but to make each physical detail feel like part of the character’s history, condition, and environment.
Our team supported application, adjustments, touch-ups, and continuity control during filming. Because the effects depended on subtle surface detail and natural integration with the actor, on-set supervision was essential to preserve realism between takes, maintain clean edges, and ensure every prosthetic element performed reliably in front of the camera.
