The project required creating a believable marine animal at full scale, capable of withstanding outdoor filming conditions while maintaining realism in both wide shots and close-up cinematography. From the overall anatomy and proportions to the smallest surface details, every aspect of the build was developed to capture the physical presence, weight, and texture of a real stranded whale. The result was a practical effects piece that provided filmmakers with an authentic visual centerpiece directly on location. Working closely with the production team, we translated creative and technical requirements into a large-scale practical build that integrated seamlessly into the film’s environment and visual storytelling.
